I worked a little on the paper and played guitar and uke before opening my door to the outside world at about eleven. I ran into Albert who said he wanted to talk about grad schools today. I told him I could visit with him after lunch. I then went out to the store and bought some yogurt, chicken breast, peaches, garlic, and mushrooms. I came back and made up my own culinary delight with the garlic, mushrooms and both chicken breasts. I added some salt and butter to make a very tasty dish of mushrooms garlicky chuck (Australian for chicken). I added in some fried rice on the side from leftovers last night. Everybody was cooking at the same time I was. Albert was making his food, and there was a multitude of others in the kitchen at the same time. I borrowed some oil from an African woman in there when the butter "fried out" of the dish and things were starting to stick. I went in and talked to Ben. He told me that his dad was coming in today and that they may go see the Olympic park at night tonight. If they do go, he said that he would stop by the lobby at 730.
After eating lunch and watching "Back to the Future", Albert came to my room, and we talked about grad schools. I showed him how he should look stuff up on the internet about the schools. I then told him about frisbee in the evening. I told him I would pick him up at 500 from his room. We finished with the grad school conversation at about 300 so I had 2 hours to guitar and finish watching my movie.
I am up to 2500 words on my paper.
At 500 I headed out with Albert to Renmin and we threw the frisbee for an hour or so. We left at 635 to head back so I could make the lobby and go with Ben to the park. While waiting there, an Asian family wanted to take pictures with me and Albert so we got photographed with every one of them!
While walking back, we saw a cat sleeping on top of a car - had to take a few photos of that. It repaid the compliment by licking its parts in front of us. Nice, kitty.
I waited in the lobby for Ben, but it turns out his dad was too tired to go do anything so they ate at the Sesh Wan place an hour before I went there and had fried rice.
I am going to go down and get a watermelon...it has been quite the uneventful, lazy Saturday.
Good night and God bless.
(Here are some of my amusing photos from yesterday....)
